Winter racing in Tauranga is back baby! It looks like Oropi Harvesting is going to pushed out even further again! So lets get some night racing in action! This lowkey event series will kick off on July 17th and run every Monday evening until September 18th (with the expectation of weather). That’s 10 weeks of night racing baby!
Schedule
Rego from 5.40pm to 5.55pm.
Racing starts at 6.00pm.
No new laps can be commenced after 40 minutes. Riders will have until 6.55pm to complete their final lap.
Prizegiving will occur at 7.00pm. Top 3 males and females will receive a chocolate bar.
Course
The course will remain the same each week and be marked with ribbon. It is up to each individual to be honest about following the course. – Entry Trail, Pines, River Trail, Tomas Loop, Ridge Track, 4WD Track, Exit Trail.
Riders will complete a le mans mass start to commence the race.
Cost
You can pay $10 cash per week or sign up for the whole 10 week series for $50.
Weather & Cancellations
The event cannot commence if there is significant/has been significant rainfall, or if there is/has been significant wind or large wind gusts. All communication will come via email.
Any event cancellation decision will occur via email by 3.45pm on the day of the event.
DirtCraft will deliver up to 10 events between July 17th and September 18th. Should DirtCraft fail to deliver a minimum of 5 events during this time period, riders will receive a partial refund of $7.50 per event.
