Overview
Eligibility: MTB Tauranga Member, owns a mountain bike, can ride grade 2 trails.
Age – 8 to 14 year old female.
Sessions: x6 Weekly Sessions in Term 4
Date & Time: Sundays 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Location: The location will change each week: Summerhill, Urban Trails, and more.
We will confrim at the start of each week where we are meeting for the coming Sunday.
Our Objectives
- To foster social connection between the girls and have fun riding bikes.
- To develop Mountain Biking competence by navigating challenge, thus empowering confidence beyond the trails.
- To facilitate adventure and exploration while appreciating the outdoors.
We intend to achieve these objectives by delivering our weekly Trail Rose sessions, Adventure Trips and the Trail Rose Camp all occurring from October onwards.
Trail Rose Weekly Sessions
Every Sunday 3:30 – 5:00 PM – x6 Sessions in Term 4.
Our first weekly session kicks off on Sunday 12th October.
These session will include social connection, confidence building, riding skill development, fitness, games & challenges along with off bike sessions such as bike maintenance and more. The sessions will occur at different locations around the city including: Summerhill, Urban Trails, and more.
There will be transport and carpooling options to make it accessible for all across the city.
Trail Rose Adventure Trips
Our first Adventure Trip will occur in Term 4 2025. We plan on delivering additonal Adventure Trips in 2026 with the girls.
Date: Saturday 22nd November
Contingency Date: Saturday 6th December
The purpose of our Adventure Trips are to create a sense of exploration and excitement, by having the girls ride somewhere outside of the normal in a fun and supportive environment.
Our adventure trips will put the girls teamwork, leadership and confidence to the test in an engaging and enjoyable way. More information will be available about the adventure trips once the Term is underway.
Trail Rose Camp
The dates for our Trail Rose Empower Camp are not yet confirmed.
The Trail Rose Camp will be held at Summerhill Mountain Bike Park.
Finer details will be confirmed in due course. But the camp will be the ultimate experience for the girls and solidify the achievement of Trail Rose objectives.
For 2025 the format will look something along these lines:
Day 1: Current Trail Rose Girls
Day 2: Current and Former Trail Rose Girls
Day 3: Former Trail Rose Girls

If cost is a barrier for you please flick us a message, as we do not want this to stop your daughter participating.
