UPDATE: As of 25th of July the AIMS Mock Race is scheduled to go ahead on the 16th August.
What is it?
2025 Zespri AIMS Games is coming in hot! DirtCraft is running the annual AIMS Mock race to prep the riders for the event. This will be a Cross Country race + a 4 stage Enduro Race on the 2025 Zespri AIMS Games course + Technical Skill Testing.
The objective of the Mock Race is for riders to gain an understanding of the demands of each event prior to the competition. Therefore they can go into the event with a realistic understanding of race expectations, physical demands, technical needs of the race and use the mock race to try out pacing strategy.
We will have First Aid onsite + Basic Race Timing (For EDR 1 stage operating at a time) + a mini Technical Testing opportunity in a competition setting. The XC and Enduro are currently marked at course splits with arrows. There will be no additional course marking for the Mock Race. Nor will there be any prizes. However, results and timing will be available on this website post event. We would also like to have 4x volunteers to assist per event.
All 2025 AIMS Games particpants are invited to come. Please ensure you have appropriate club membership in place to acess the park.

Parents/Riders are responsible for their own/their child’s wellbeing for the mock event. This means lunch, road crossings, following course markings, safety etc. Tristan will endeavour to be freed up throughout the day to respond to medical incidents if required, but please do not rely on this.

Stage 2 Beeftub -> Stage 1 GT Track -> Stage 3 Corona + Variant-> Stage 4 Smooth Operator*.
*Stage 4 will occur assuming we have enough light.
